Research within the IHU reConnect is organized into 7 main themes, which meet 4 objectives:

Meeting the medical, societal, educational needs raised by hearing and speech disorders
Patient care will begin with an ENT consultation, which depending on the diagnosis, will be followed by specialist examinations, such as tonal and vocal audiometry in silence and noise, tympanometry, auditory evoked potentials, acoustic otoemissions, and possibly MRI or CT scans.

In terms of rehabilitation, devices such as hearing aids, bone-anchored prostheses or cochlear implants may be recommended, with follow-up adjustments and post-operative monitoring.
In addition to pathology treatment, proposals for inclusion in cohorts and clinical studies will be put forward.
