THETABOOST Project

Autism, speech delay, speech therapy

The THETABOOST study aims to better understand language difficulties in children with autism spectrum disorders. This study evaluates the impact of rhythmic auditory stimulation with the goal of improving speech acquisition.  

GHOSTTONE Project

Links between hearing, cognition, and brain activity in people with tinnitus

The GHOSTTONE study evaluates hearing abilities in relation to cognition and electrophysiological responses.  

The goal of the GHOSTTONE research project is to study the impact of hearing disorders—particularly tinnitus—on brain function.

SCEDuLL Project

Lip-reading, hearing aids

The purpose of this study is to assess whether specific lip-reading training can help hearing-impaired patients who wear hearing aids better understand conversations in noisy environments.

COMPRESSED Project

Compressed sound, auditory fatigue, videoconferencing

The hypothesis of the COMPRESSED study (Users of Remote Conferencing and Sound Dynamic Compression: Auditory Effects) is that exposure to the manipulated sounds of audio streaming platforms for a few hours a day has effects on the auditory system of the individuals concerned (i.e., those exposed due to their professional activities), particularly prolonged auditory fatigue.

The primary objective of this study is to investigate the effects on hearing of regular use of conference platforms by conducting non-invasive audiological tests.

Refined Project

Hearing aid, auditory neuropathy, speech intelligibility in noise, artificial intelligence

The primary objective of the REFINED study is to identify speech enhancement methods based on artificial intelligence and compatible with portable hearing aids that are best suited for participants with Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorders (ANS).

Audiogenage Project

Genetics, age-related hearing loss, balance

The objective of this study is to identify which tests or combinations of tests will best characterize age-related hearing loss. Development of a battery of audiological tests for the accurate diagnosis of age-related hearing loss.

Who can participate?
We are looking for people aged 40 or older with age-related hearing loss or early-onset presbycusis.

RnDys Project

Dyslexia, rhythm, speech-language pathologist

The primary objective of the RnDys study is to determine whether rhythmic auditory training is an effective tool for improving the performance of children with specific written language disorders. It also aims to identify the best training program to be offered.

MiRACLE Project

Cochlear implant, speech enhancement, sound environment

Measurement and Restoration of the Perception of Acoustic Cues in Noise for Cochlear Implant Users – MiRACLE*.

The MiRACLE study is being conducted to better understand how people with cochlear implants perceive a sound (such as a voice) when multiple sounds are present at the same time (such as competing voices, a car horn, or other everyday noises).
The goal of this study, MiRACLE, is to describe how people with cochlear implants perceive their sound environment.

ETERNEL Project

Hearing aid, sound perception, distortion 

To better understand how hearing aid users are bothered by certain sounds when they hear multiple sound sources at the same time (such as competing voices, a car horn, or other everyday noises), we are conducting the ETERNEL study. 

The ETERNEL study aims to identify the hearing aid settings that influence the ability of hearing aid users to understand complex sound environments.
