On March 6, 2025, the reConnect Institute, a foundation hosted by the Institut Pasteur, brought together researchers, clinicians, and partners for a full day of discussions dedicated to scientific advancements in hearing and speech disorders. This first edition of the Scientific Days strengthened the Institute’s collaborative dynamic and laid the groundwork for future breakthroughs. <br>

The discussions explored innovative approaches, to treating sudden and progressive hearing loss, improving care for auditory perception disorders such as tinnitus and hyperacusis, and better understanding the links between hearing and dementia. The event also highlighted the importance of prevention, ethics, scientific communication, and data science, as well as the key role of connected technologies and industrial partnerships in accelerating innovation.
On March 7, the Institute's stakeholders continued these strategic discussions, including a dedicated workshop on the future genetic platform.
The reConnect Institute will meet again in 2026 to continue advancing its mission.

Founded in April 2024, the reConnect Institute brings together key stakeholders in the fields of hearing health and speech disorders to improve their detection and management. Its goal is to transition from compensatory medicine to restorative medicine through advances in genetics and neuroscience.
