Scientific publications

Signature template

The authorship of scientific publications is standardized to make it possible to identify the various institutions involved in the research.

Here is the standard signature to be used in publications related to the reConnect Institute (please follow the order listed below; use a single line whenever possible, and do not include an English translation):

"Université Paris Cité, Institut Pasteur, AP-HP, INSERM, Fondation Pour l'Audition, + other research organizations or signatory institutions, ..., IHU reConnect, ZIP code, city, country."

Examples of signatures

• Example of a publication whose author is at Lariboisière-Fernand Widal Hospital (fill in the sections* marked in red):

"Université Paris Cité, Institut Pasteur, AP-HP, Lariboisière-Fernand Widal Hospital, Department XXX, Unit YYY, INSERM, Fondation Pour l'Audition, IHU reConnect, F-75013 Paris, France."

• Example of a publication whose author is at Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital (fill in the sections* marked in red):

"Université Paris Cité, Institut Pasteur, AP-HP, Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital, Department XXX, Unit YYY, INSERM, Fondation Pour l'Audition, IHU reConnect, F-75013 Paris, France."

• Example of a publication by an author at the Institut de l'Audition (with the addition of the CNRS, which oversees the UMR):

"Université Paris Cité, Institut Pasteur, AP-HP, INSERM, CNRS, Fondation Pour l'Audition, Institut de l'Audition, IHU reConnect, F-75012 Paris, France"

*Each author should consult their employer’s publication guidelines to ensure they use the correct name of their department or research unit.

Please note: Following these instructions ensures that all publications by contributors and the reConnect Institute are properly recorded by funding agencies, institutions, and evaluation bodies.

• Disclosure in Public Communications

The following affiliations are to be used in public communications by the Founding Members and partners of the reConnect Institute, a foundation under the auspices ofInstitut Pasteur.

• First Name, Last Name, Position** at the reConnect Institute, along with the specific reConnect Institute location (e.g., at the Institut de l'Audition (Paris 12), at XX Hospital, or elsewhere).

Examples:

• Nicolas Michalski, a neuroscience researcher at the reConnect Institute at the Institute of Hearing, a center ofInstitut Pasteur

• Alain Londero, ENT specialist at the reConnect Institute at Lariboisière-Fernand Widal Hospital, AP-HP

All publications produced as part of the reConnect Institute must be listed under its name. They must include the standard affiliations/signatures and the following acknowledgments:

1. "This work has received funding from the French government, administered by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche under the France 2030 program, grant number ANR-23-IAHU-0003" / "This work has benefited from a French government grant managed by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche under the France 2030 program, reference ANR-23-IAHU-0003"

2. "This work was supported by the Fondation Pour l'Audition"

The reConnect Institute is committed to Open Science alongside theInstitut Pasteur

The HAL Open Archive is a platform providing access to open science.

Submission via HAL-Pasteur is strongly recommended for all reConnect contributors.

• The submission process is facilitated and moderated by a specialized team. For more information, visit "How to quickly and easily submit your articles to HAL-Pasteur?"

Indexing for France 2030 is very important. All publications and communications resulting from the work of the reConnect Institute must be submitted to HAL no later than the publication date.

• The IHU reConnect reference number "ANR-23-IAHU-0003" must be entered in the "Funding" section, under "ANR Project(s)."
